Checking The Registered Offender Map
How long (if ever) has it been since you checked “The registered offender map”.This Web Site was established by John Walsh from America’s Most Wanted and will pin point sexual offenders living or working near an address you put in.
When you visit this site [http://www.familywatchdog.us/], enter an address of interest, hit search and a map will pop up. If there are sexual predators living or working close, they will be labeled as color dots, click on these dots, and a picture of a criminal will appear with his or her home address with a description of the crime he or she has committed.
What a neat, helpful site. Thanks Family Watchdog and John Walsh!
Whenever you record possible evidence onto a VCR tape or a CD Rom, be sure and write the event that occurred, date, time, and sign your name on the recorded device in an approved manner. A court case has been dismissed because the defending lawyer asked a witness if “this was the CD Rom he recorded the incident his client was accused of?” Since he wrote on the cover the CD was put into and not the CD itself, he could not say for sure.
An “approved manner” on a CD Rom or DVD is permanent marker that still allows it to be read when reinserted into a computer.
To be exactly clear on what should be written on your storage media, please check with you local laws, Financial Institution procedures, and/or your legal council.
